Birthday Crab

Every year for David's birthday dinner at home I serve him fresh Dungeness crabs as a special treat.

This year we had wait until now to find beautiful crabs at a good price.

I found these two big gorgeous babies at Costco.

David in food heaven. (Yes, both huge crabs were for him. )

Happy belated birthday crab feed David.

David, from the smile on your face, it looks the wait for the crab was worth it!

Delighted for but truly envious of David and his two crabs. I can hardly wait to get to The City to find at least one of my own! Love you, Vaden

Oh man, I'm soooooooooo jealous! Whenever we're on the west coast, a dungeness crab is one of the first meals we have. East coast crabs just can't compare. Happy Birthday eating Dave.

Yay! I'm so glad that David finally got his annual birthday crab! It sure looks like it was worth the wait! Mmm! I'm sorry I missed it; it's always fun to watch him beat the crabs with a hammer! Hee! He looks like he's in heaven! If we can find some up here, maybe he and Justin can share one as a holiday treat!

Well, I have taken over the beating the crabs with a hammer (I use my kitchen meat mallot) when I clean them. He did enjoy every bite.
