Fresh Picked From Our Garden

Here are the Meyer lemons I picked yesterday from our garden. I have barely gotten what is on the tree. I am going to need David to help me get way into tthe bush and the ones on the top. The Meyer lemon tree in our garden is at least 6 feet tall and very large.

I am hoping to preserve Meyer Lemon Marmalade, freeze a lot of the juice and zest to use throughout the year as I usually do, bake lemon breads and other goodies for our neighbors and friends. I will freeze a few for when we have guests as well. I just may have to have a taste of the lemon bread though (my very fav) which is soaked with fresh Meyer lemon glaze that is hot when poured onto the bottom of the breads to soak well into them.

I am off to pick some regular lemons for beverage drinking during the super bowl.

Wish I had that many Meyer lemons.
