Craft - Candlelight for the Patio

These candle holders for outdoors are simple and inexpensive to make. They add a nice decorative touch to your patio as well as atmosphere when lit at night. Simply pick clay pots of your choice; smaller ones for table tops, larger ones to sit on the patio floor. Using craft paint of your choice and a sea sponge, dab paint on clay pots to give a mottled weathered look. Using electrical tape or something similar, cover hole in bottom of pots when dry. Fill with sand and place a glass hurricane in center. Add a candle and place on your patio and table tops. Use small glass hurricanes for table top candle pots, and large ones for patio floor candle pots.
