We also made a trip to Costco today and found they had beautiful Dungeness crabs @ $3.99 a pound. Two found their way into our cart.

I usually have the honors (ahem) of cleaning and cracking them. David helped this evening by cracking them, but left the cleaning to me. The kitchen mallet wouldn't cut it for him. He had to go out to the garage and get his manly man hammer to do the job.
He had fun.
And made me laugh.

The crab was very fresh and sweet. I did manage to snatch a few bites. mmmmm, nothing like it.
And he ate every bit of the two crabs.

If you enjoy them, then they are worth the splurge.
Needless to say....I am SO JEALOUS! 3.99 a pound is a bargain!

Well anytime you are in my area you have a seat at our table and hopefully fresh Dgeness crab will be in season!
Mmm! Looks good! Great price; I'd better not show Justin this or I'll have to run to Nevada to get some! Hee! He will be jealous :-) He and Granddad will have to have a crab feast sometime together!
Grandad will love it! He was saying when he was eating the crab this time how he misses his crab eating partner Oreo! Remember how much Oreo Cookie Boy loved Dungeness crab and always ate it with David? Great memories of that special cat.
